Facts and Fallacy of Continuous Delivery

Jack of all trades, master of none (aka full stack developer). Longtime (15+ years) software engineer, apprentice devops. Passionate about software development in the broad sense. In continuous search for simple, easy to understand design and solutions. I like to help teams in creating meaningful software, with a keen eye for code quality and software delivery process - from customer interaction to continuous delivery. Instead of balancing quality & delivery, I believe and practice that better quality is actually a way to more and better deliveries.

Why should you have a Continuous Delivery pipeline ? What does it bring to your organisation ? And what does it involve ? Continuous Delivery brings a lot of value to your organisation, but it also imposes some pre-requisites to how software is delivered inside your organisation. This session will enumerate some facts about Continuous Delivery ... And a fallacy (or two) that exist in mind of decision makers preventing them to take the leap forward.

This is open for both a technical and non-technical audience. Have some understanding of the software development cycle and how software is installed in production.
